About Us and the Foundation

The 3 Founders of the Foundation include the grandson of the old gentleman described in the Vision and Mission statement.   He is also the Chairman of the Foundation.   Currently, we are a group of volunteer Members with a similar Vision and Mission.  Volunteers are welcome to join as our Members and pay no fees.   [Please send us an e-mail <application@cedar-tree-foundation.org> (to be set up), or directly contact us.]      On our AGM, Members will elect Directors in addition to the original founder members who are founding Directors.

The Foundation is now registered under Hong Kong law as a charitable institution under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, No. 91/14261.

Donations over HKD100-- to the Foundation will be tax deductable for the donor.

We are seeking funding to provide our services as stipulated on the next page, through donations of three main categories :

1.   General funds -- for running the foundation, so as to provide the services, including that which is necessary for achievement of services under category 3.   It is the principal founder's aim to provide most of the general funds through proceeds of his healthcare business enterprises.

2.   Unspecified donations to be used only for awarding the recipients of the services scheduled from time to time, depending on availability of funds donated.

3.   Specially directed donations for specified projects as stipulated by the donors.    The funds will be passed on to the recipients as the donors have specified.    It is up to the donors to specify how much of his/her donation the Foundation may use for administration costs, and they are at liberty to not grant any.   Administrative costs will be borne by the Foundation.
